This story is about two complete strangers meeting in art class, their sophomore year. They had art class together and never knew each other before. Alyssa sat on the corner next to Gabriel on the first day of school. They stayed in those seats for only that day, but then the teacher made assigned seats and they thought they would get separated. Alyssa was hoping she did since she was anti-social and would rather sit next to a girl. Although she didn’t really have that luck. She was assigned to sit next to Gabriel again. Although this time they moved to the front of the class. In art class they had a lot of partner work that they needed to do. They had to work with whoever was their partner already. At first both Alyssa and Gabriel wouldn’t talk. They would just get to doing the work. Later on, throughout the school year the teacher would always make them sit next to each other, and since they were forced to talk to each other, they slowly became best friends. They wouldn’t hangout outside of class but some people in class started to think they were in a relationship. That was not the case, they were still good friends and would just text after school. It came closer to Alyssa’s birthday and Gabriel was asking Alyssa what she wanted for her birthday, but Alyssa would always say she didn’t want anything but a day off of school. What she wanted didn’t come true though, but Gabriel walked up to Alyssa with a gift basket filled with so many goodies and a Nike hoodie. The snacks that were in the basket were filled with Alyssa’s favorite snacks. Alyssa was so excited and happy for it. Alyssa started to wonder why Gabriel got the basket for her, if they are just friends. She was thinking to herself if he does that for all his friends. But as Alyssa started to pay attention, she noticed she started to catch feelings for Gabriel. She would do the most to shut those feelings down because she was scared to ruin a friendship. She didn’t know if the relationship was better to stay off as friends. Alyssa came to find out that Gabriel was feeling the same but didn’t speak up about it. After some time both Alyssa and Gabriel had a talk and came to find out they both feel the same towards each other. They both came to agree to risk the friendship and try to be in a relationship. The relationship was so easy for them and they noticed that was what was waiting to happen. They have still been together since February of 2023, so they have been together for over a year, and they are both very happy together.
